Rhetorical Analysis

For our rhetorical analysis we are to find a advertisement to appeal to a specific audience. Key things like images, font sizes, colors, placement of objects, characters, and messages creates a message in the advertisement. All advertisements have messages for an specific audience. Some are broad, and some are not. Advertisements such as McDonalds are directed to anyone basically. They advertise their food in order for people to buy it. Today in class we watch a short clip of an advertisement. It had us thinking and on the edge of our seats. We really thought the mother was going to stick the needle in her son. Instead, the needle was representing a burger comparing the bad outcomes of both. After we seen the end of the advertisement, the whole class was in awe. We had no idea what was going to happen. The ad was telling the people not to eat fast food because of the bad outcomes. The purpose was to compare both heroin and fast food. For my advertisement, I'm going to choose a advertisement about cigarettes.
